Thamesmead Gulling

Today I met up with Dante for the first time. He kindly introduced me to the world of gulling along the Thames. A couple of hours chucking loaves of bread produced 2 Caspian Gulls (1 2nd cycle and 1 1st cycle) and 4 Yellow-legged Gulls. Despite these numbers, particularly for the YLGs, being lower than sometimes expected here I am still over the moon with the superb flight views I got of both species. A really great experience and helpful for practicing to pick birds out in flight too. I'll definitely have to do the same again at some point, perhaps on a more windy day.
